ANZAC Day has always meant something a little different to everyone. For some, it’s the early morning alarm and the quiet stillness of a dawn service. For others, it’s family traditions, stories passed down, or simply taking a moment to pause and reflect. For me, it’s personal. My grandfather served in the war. Like many of his generation, he didn’t speak about it often. There were no long stories or detailed recollections, just a quiet presence, a sense of resilience, and an understanding that what he experienced shaped the life we’re able to live today. That’s what ANZAC Day brings into focus. It’s not just about history. It’s about people, individuals who served, sacrificed, and carried those experiences with them long after the war ended. It’s about recognising what was given, often without recognition, and ensuring that it’s never forgotten. This year, our team at Eventspec had the privilege of supporting the ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the University of New South Wales . Our role was to deliver audio and vision for those in attendance, making sure every word spoken, every moment of silence, and every note played could be experienced clearly by everyone there. It’s a technical job on paper, but it never feels like just that. Dawn services are unlike any other event. There’s a stillness in the air before it begins, a quiet respect that settles over the crowd. As the light slowly comes up, you can feel the weight of the moment. It’s not loud or celebratory. It’s reflective and intentional. Being part of a service like this is a reminder that what we do can play a small role in something much bigger, helping people connect, reflect, and remember together. ANZAC Day isn’t about grand gestures. It’s about respect. It’s about taking the time to acknowledge those who served, those who didn’t return, and those who continue to serve today. And for many of us, it’s about remembering people like my grandfather, and the countless others whose stories may never be fully told, but should never be forgotten. Lest we forget.

This week, the Eventspec team will be heading to AIME (Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event) for the very first time, and we couldn’t be more excited to be part of Australia’s leading trade event for the meetings and events industry. As a Sydney-based event production and AV company, AIME is a natural fit for us. It brings together event planners, venues, destinations, agencies, and suppliers from across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, all focused on creating smarter, more engaging events. Why AIME Matters to Eventspec For years, Eventspec has supported corporate events, conferences, summits, and live experiences across Australia. Exhibiting at AIME is an opportunity to connect directly with the people behind those events and to share how strong technical production can remove stress, improve audience engagement, and elevate outcomes. AIME isn’t just a trade show. It’s where conversations start, partnerships form, and ideas turn into real events. For us, it’s a chance to step out from behind the scenes and talk face to face about what we do best, which is seamless event production. What We Do: End-to-End Event Production Eventspec is a full-service event production company, delivering audio visual, staging, and technical solutions for live events across Australia. Our services include: Audio visual hire for conferences and corporate events LED screens, projection, and video playback Lighting design and event lighting hire Staging, lecterns, and set elements Technical direction and show calling On-site crew and event delivery Whether it’s a large-scale conference, a gala dinner, a product launch, or a hybrid event, our focus is always on clarity, reliability, and calm execution, especially when timelines are tight and expectations are high. Exhibiting as an AV Partner, Not Just a Supplier At AIME, we’re not just talking about equipment lists. We’re talking about how AV supports event outcomes. Great event production isn’t about flashy tech for the sake of it. It’s about: Clear audio so every message lands Screens that actually work in the room Lighting that supports the space and the schedule A technical team that anticipates problems before they happen That’s the difference between hiring gear and partnering with a production company that understands events from planning to pack down. Meeting Event Planners, Venues, and Agencies One of the things we’re most looking forward to at AIME is meeting: Corporate event planners and in-house marketing teams Venues looking for reliable AV partners Agencies managing multi-event programs Buyers planning conferences, exhibitions, and incentive events If you’re attending AIME and looking for an experienced event AV partner who operates nationally and communicates clearly, we’d love to connect.

Behind the Scenes at Woolworths’ Next-Generation Distribution Centre Media Launch Last week, the Eventspec team supported Woolworths and Primary Connect with the official media launch at their new automated distribution centre in the Moorebank Logistics Precinct. This extraordinary site represents a major step forward for logistics in Australia, and being inside the facility truly feels like stepping into the future. A Highly Coordinated Media Operation Events like these demand absolute accuracy, especially when multiple broadcasters and press outlets are involved. For this launch, we delivered all audio and media services, ensuring every outlet received clean and reliable feeds throughout the morning. Our team managed: Audio distribution for major TV networks Dedicated feeds for radio and online press Full PA coverage for more than 200 guests inside the facility Coordinated media positions and press access in line with Woolworths’ schedule Everything ran seamlessly from the moment the first crew arrived to the final interview wrap-up, thanks to clear planning and close collaboration with the Woolworths and Primary Connect teams. Seeing the Future Up Close You only appreciate the scale of the operation once you’re inside. The level of automation and robotics powering this distribution centre is remarkable, with advanced systems engineered by Dematic and Vanderlande working in perfect synchrony. It’s a rare opportunity to see technology of this scale in action, and it makes the impact of events like these even more meaningful. Why Brands Trust Eventspec With Media Moments Media launches require a very specific skill set: technical precision, fast response times, and the ability to work alongside multiple stakeholders without interrupting the flow of the day. Our team specialises in delivering these high-stakes environments with reliability and control. Whether it’s a product reveal, facility opening, corporate announcement or media call, we ensure the technical side of your event is handled masterfully so the story lands exactly as it should. If your launch deserves exceptional technical delivery and a team that understands complex media operations inside out, Eventspec is here to support you.

Following our recent success at the Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence ( WSABE ), where we were honoured with the University of New England Excellence in Micro Business Award, we’re now representing Western Sydney at the state level. This recognition places us among the very best businesses in New South Wales, and we couldn’t be prouder. Why This Matters For us, being a finalist isn’t just about being in the running to win an award. It’s about celebrating the spirit of small business and recognising the dedication, creativity, and resilience it takes to thrive. Small businesses like Eventspec make up a vital part of the NSW economy, creating opportunities, supporting local jobs, and delivering innovation across industries. This nomination is proof that just because you’re small, it doesn’t mean you can’t achieve big things. What’s Next As part of the state judging process, finalists undergo an interview with the judging panel; a new stage introduced this year to ensure fairness and give every business the opportunity to share its story in person. We’re looking forward to showcasing who we are, what we do, and the difference we make for our clients. The 2025 Business Awards celebrations will culminate at the International Convention Centre on Wednesday 29th October. This award is a celebration of every small business owner who dares to dream, to build, and to contribute. To every small business out there, keep going! Your work matters, and together we are building the future of our industries and communities and strengthening the economy.

This is a watershed moment for our tiny team. There’s nothing we love more than back-to-back challenges, and last week delivered exactly that. Fresh from wrapping up the Safe Work Australia Research Summit in Canberra, our crew rolled straight into Sydney to set up for the 2025 Safe and Efficient Port Operations Forum. Turning the Venue into a Professional Forum Space With 170+ attendees from 76 organisations across NSW, Australia, and the world, the Port Operations Forum demanded a setup that looked sharp, sounded clear, and ran flawlessly from start to finish. Our team transformed the venue with: A stunning LED wall as the visual centrepiece A PA system that ensured every word carried clearly across the room Lectern and microphones tailored for panels and keynotes Lighting and draping to create a professional, polished backdrop Every detail was designed to elevate the delegate experience and keep the focus on the conversations that matter most. A Can’t-Fail AV Setup For a forum of this scale and significance, “good enough” is never an option. With senior leaders, international representation, and complex discussions on the agenda, the AV had to be reliable, flexible, and seamless. Our crew worked quickly and efficiently to design a can’t-fail setup, giving the organisers complete confidence that the technical side of the event was in safe hands. Momentum That Builds Now in its third year, the Safe and Efficient Port Operations Forum has grown into a landmark industry event, and Eventspec is proud to once again be trusted with delivering its audio visual needs. From back-to-back national events to high-profile forums, our team thrives on the challenge of turning tight turnarounds into flawless productions. This project was a perfect example of our capability, commitment, and care in action. Looking Ahead At Eventspec, we measure our success by the confidence we give our clients and the quality experiences we create for their audiences. Supporting the Port Authority of NSW with this forum was another proud milestone, and we look forward to continuing to deliver reliable, polished AV solutions for events of every scale.

Last week, the Eventspec team had the incredible opportunity to exhibit at Events Uncovered 2025, one of the most exciting trade shows in the Australian events industry calendar. Hosted in Sydney, the expo brought together venue managers, PCOs, event planners, production specialists, and suppliers from across the country, all under one roof to share ideas, inspiration, and innovations shaping the future of live events. As our first expo showcase, the day was a milestone for Eventspec. It gave us the chance to connect face-to-face with event professionals, highlight our capabilities in audio visual production and event technology solutions, and have a little fun along the way with our now-famous claw machine. The Energy of Events Uncovered The atmosphere at Events Uncovered was electric. From the moment doors opened, we were surrounded by the energy and creativity that drives the events industry. Our stand quickly became a hub of conversation, laughter, and plenty of attempts at winning prizes from the claw machine. Beyond the fun, what stood out most were the meaningful conversations we had with venue managers, PCOs, and event organisers who were eager to learn more about how Eventspec can support their next conference, gala dinner, awards night, or live entertainment event. A Team Effort A huge highlight of the day was seeing our team in action. Special recognition goes to Chris Condon, who showed the true Eventspec spirit by coming straight from an event, building the stand himself, and then powering through the day meeting with attendees. It was a perfect reminder of the dedication and hands-on approach that makes Eventspec a trusted partner for clients across Australia. Showcasing What We Do Best At Events Uncovered, we showcased more than just our stand. We highlighted Eventspec’s full-service capabilities, including: AV hire and production – high-quality sound, lighting, and vision solutions tailored to any venue. Staging and technical design – scalable setups to elevate both small meetings and large-scale shows. Creative technical direction – experienced crew ensuring seamless event delivery. Special effects and audience engagement tools – like Sparkulars, LED screens and creative lighting solutions For us, the expo wasn’t just about equipment, it was about showing how our event production expertise helps clients deliver unforgettable experiences. Why Exhibiting Matters As a Sydney-based event production company, being part of Events Uncovered gave us the chance to stay connected with industry peers, learn about new trends in event technology, and showcase our commitment to sustainable, innovative production solutions. It also reinforced what we love most: collaborating with passionate people across the events ecosystem, from planners and venues to suppliers and performers. Looking Ahead Our debut at Events Uncovered was a success we’ll never forget. From the energy of the expo floor to the support from the community, it confirmed that Eventspec is on the right track as we continue to grow and deliver AV and staging solutions that make events shine. To everyone who stopped by for a chat, a laugh, or a go at the claw machine, thank you. You made our first expo experience one to remember. We can’t wait to see you again at future industry events and to support your next conference, gala, or special event with seamless production and end-to-end AV solutions.

We’re thrilled to share that Eventspec has been named Best AV & Staging Company in the 2025 Spice Hot 100 awards! This was our first year being nominated and to come away with the win has honestly blown us away. A Huge Honour in a Competitive Field The Spice Hot 100 is one of the most respected awards in the Australian events industry. It shines a spotlight on businesses delivering the highest quality across production, styling, venues, catering and more. These awards are entirely voted for by the clients and customers we serve, so to take away the win is something we'll hold onto for a long time. Built from the Ground Up Eventspec is a small, independent business, built on hustle, heart, and a deep respect for what it takes to deliver a flawless event. We don’t have big backers or global infrastructure. What we do have is a crew that works damn hard on every stage, in every venue, for every client. Long hours, tight turnarounds and high stakes; our team consistently shows up, solves problems, and gets it done. This win is a reflection of that effort. Recognition That Means Something We don’t do this work for awards, but we won’t lie, this one feels pretty special. To be acknowledged by the clients and collaborators who’ve experienced our work first-hand means more than we can say. It reminds us that quality, consistency, and care do get noticed, even if you're not the biggest name in the game. Thank You To Spice Magazine, thank you for creating a platform that celebrates excellence across our industry. To the clients, collaborators, venues, and suppliers who voted for us, we couldn’t do what we do without your trust and support. To the incredible Eventspec crew, this one’s for you. Thank you for everything you do for our business, our clients and each other. Together we've created something really special! We’re proud to stand alongside the best in the industry, and even prouder to represent what a small, independent team can achieve with the right mindset. #SpiceHot100 #Eventspec #AVandStaging #AwardWinningTeam #SmallBusinessBigImpact #LiveEvents #ProductionLife #EventspecCrew #EventIndustryExcellence

We're incredibly proud and excited to share that Eventspec has been named a finalist in the 2025 WSABE Awards for Excellence in Micro Business, proudly sponsored by the University of New England. This marks our first time being nominated, and to be recognised among such an inspiring group of local businesses is a huge honour. As a small, tight-knit team that puts everything into the work we do, it’s a moment that means a lot. Being acknowledged by WSABE not only reflects the incredible commitment of our team, but also the trust of our clients, partners and collaborators who allow us to do what we love. We’re proud to announce the launch of our new encrypted tour system, which made its debut at the Georges River Uncontained Festival and it couldn’t have gone better. Designed for public spaces, festivals, and high-traffic environments, this new tech investment allows us to deliver immersive guided experiences with total clarity, even in complex or noisy settings. A Smarter Way to Guide Audiences For the Uncontained Festival, we were tasked with supporting a series of guided walking tours that explored the incredible installations, performances, and stories woven throughout the event. To do it right, we needed a system that was reliable, interference-free, and easy to deploy across a changing outdoor environment. Our new Listen Technologies Wireless Tour Guide Systems delivered exactly that and more. Key features of the system include: 🎧 Multiple receiver units with headphones for participants 🎙️ A single, secure transmitter for the guide or facilitator 🔒 Encrypted closed-loop signal ensuring private, uninterrupted audio 🙌 No interference. No dropouts. Just clean, consistent sound from start to finish. It allowed us to connect audiences directly to the stories being told; no shouting, no background noise, no technical distractions. Designed for More Than Just Festivals While the system was a standout at Uncontained, this is just the beginning. We're already planning to roll it out across a range of upcoming events, including: Art and exhibition tours Corporate site walkthroughs Council-run community events Experiential activations and brand-led campaigns Wherever there’s a need for clear, private group communication—this system will deliver. A Big Thanks to D2N A huge shoutout to the team at D2N – Technology Solutions for their support in sourcing and integrating this new gear into our inventory. Their expertise in broadcast and event communications helped us choose a solution that fits our needs perfectly, and their service throughout the setup and testing process was second to none. This partnership has helped us strengthen our offering and we’re excited to continue exploring how this system can enhance audience experiences across all kinds of events. Eventspec has been nominated for Best AV & Staging Company in the 2025 Spice Hot 100 Services & Suppliers Awards! 🎉 This is our first-ever nomination, and we are absolutely buzzing to be recognised alongside the best in the Australian events industry. It’s a huge moment for our team and a proud milestone for our journey so far. What Is the Spice Hot 100? Curated by the industry legends at Spice News, the Spice Hot 100 celebrates Australia’s most respected, reliable, and remarkable event suppliers across all categories — from venues and caterers to entertainment and tech. The Best AV & Staging Company category honours those who deliver exceptional technical production, seamless staging solutions, and show-ready support for live events of all kinds. And this year, we’re in the mix! What This Nomination Means to Us At Eventspec, we’ve always believed that great production is invisible — until it isn’t. When the mic is hot, the lighting is flawless, and the stage is set just right, you can feel the energy shift. That’s what we live for. To be nominated for Best AV & Staging Company tells us that our commitment to our craft, precision, and crew-first culture is making a difference to our clients, audiences and industry peers. A Shoutout to Our Clients, Partners & Crew We share this nomination with: Our incredible clients — councils, agencies, brands, venues — who trust us to deliver show after show. Our creative partners, who push us to think bigger, design smarter, and dream louder. And most of all, our crew — the roadies, techs, operators, and production leads who show up rain, hail or pre-dawn bump-in. You make Eventspec what it is. What’s Next? Winners of the 2025 Spice Hot 100 will be announced soon and we’ll be watching with excitement! For now, we’re celebrating this nomination as a huge honour and a moment to recognise how far we’ve come. Best AV & Staging Company? We’re in the running — and we’re ready for the next level.

Clean audio. Seamless coverage. No compromises. That’s the standard Eventspec brings to every show, and it was front and centre at this year’s Sydney Spirits Festival at Circular Quay. As the AV partner for this high-profile event, we delivered a fully time-aligned PA system spanning two levels and multiple balconies at the iconic Overseas Passenger Terminal. The challenge? Ensuring every guest, no matter where they wandered, experienced clear, even, and in-sync sound without overpowering the space. And we nailed it. Intelligent AV Design for a Busy, Multi-Level Venue To deliver consistent sound coverage across a dynamic and high-traffic environment, we took a detailed and thoughtful approach to system design: Time-aligned speaker setup across all areas to ensure flawless synchronisation. Strategic speaker placement to avoid hot spots or dead zones. Minimal sound spill thanks to careful tuning—ensuring the audio stayed where it was needed, not where it wasn’t. Cable routing and rigging planned to work within public traffic flows, maintaining both safety and aesthetics. Rather than relying on high volume, we deployed a larger number of distributed speakers. The result? Full-bodied, controlled sound that felt immersive and intentional, not intrusive. A Venue We Love, with a View That Can’t Be Beat We’re proud to deliver exceptional event AV across Sydney, but the Overseas Passenger Terminal holds a special place for our crew. With sweeping views of the harbour and direct access for trucks and gear, it’s one of our favourite locations. There’s nothing quite like setting up with the Sydney Opera House on one side and Harbour Bridge on the other. Trusted Again by the Festival Organisers A massive thank you to Gin Events and the Sydney Spirits Festival for inviting us back to deliver the technical production again this year. We love working with teams who value quality and who share that feeling when everything just clicks. In our world, the best feedback is a hug and the words: “Everything was perfect.” That’s the standard we aim for every time. Event AV Hire in Sydney? Let’s Talk. Whether you're planning a multi-day festival, product launch, or corporate showcase, Eventspec delivers AV solutions in Sydney that are seamless, professional, and always show-ready. From PA hire to full-service production, we support clients with the tech and talent to match their vision—without compromise. 📍 Based in Sydney. Working Australia-wide.

Earlier this month, Eventspec had the pleasure of lighting one of the most visually striking installations at the Georges River Uncontained Festival—the unforgettable Tower Divas performance piece. Part public art, part live performance, Tower Divas combined fashion, sound and scale to transform the streets of Kogarah. And we were proud to bring it all to life with immersive lighting and sound design. Designing Light for Impact This installation was all about presence—and light played a huge role in amplifying the power of the performance. A huge shout out to Dylan, who designed a lighting display that was both bold and elegant. His vision shaped how the audience engaged with the installation, adding dimension and drama to every moment. Here’s how we approached the lighting setup: Astera battery-powered uplights were positioned at the base of the building columns, bathing the architecture in rich colour without the need for cabled power—ideal for heritage facades and tight install windows. Acme lighting fixtures mounted on truss towers created vertical shafts of moving light, framing the performers and adding theatrical impact. Astera Titan Tubes were placed discreetly beneath the performers' towering dresses, providing a soft, glowing underlight that created an ethereal, floating effect as they moved. The result? A fully immersive installation that felt like a living sculpture—illuminated with care and precision. Audio to Match the Visuals To complement the lighting design, we also supplied discreet, high-quality audio throughout the site to support narration, ambient sound, and performer cues—ensuring audiences were guided and grounded, even as the spectacle took shape around them. Art Meets Production Uncontained is one of Sydney’s most creative and community-driven festivals—and it was a privilege to collaborate with artists and curators who push the boundaries of public performance. Our role is always to support the vision with the right tools, crew, and tech, while staying invisible enough to let the art shine. Massive thanks to the Georges River Council and the Tower Divas team for trusting us with this spectacular installation.

This week, Eventspec had the privilege of hosting the first stop on the 2025 Ross Video Tour, presented by the brilliant team at Professional Audio & Television (PAT). Being the inaugural venue on the national tour wasn’t just exciting—it was a huge honour. The PAT crew rolled in with the latest innovations from Ross Video, giving our team a rare, hands-on experience with some of the most advanced production gear in the world right now. Tech We Got Up Close With From live video switchers and control systems to state-of-the-art broadcast graphics, this wasn’t just a look—it was a deep dive into how Ross technology is shaping the future of live production. For an event-focused company like ours, where seamless delivery and real-time control are everything, it was a brilliant opportunity to explore how these tools can enhance the work we do every day. Our crew loved the chance to test-drive the tech, ask the tough questions, and get real-time insights from PAT’s expert team. Why It Matters At Eventspec, we don’t just stay current—we stay ahead. Whether we’re delivering live-streamed corporate events, large-scale activations, or festival content, our clients rely on us for technical excellence. Tours like this keep us sharp, inspired, and ready to level up. Big thanks to PAT for choosing us as the first stop on the Ross Video tour, and to everyone who joined us for a day of serious gear talk and great conversations. Want to talk tech?
