SafeWork Australia Summit 2025 | Hyatt Canberra
This week, Eventspec was proud to deliver full technical production for the inaugural SafeWork Australia Research Summit, held at the prestigious Hyatt Canberra.

The two-day conference brought together more than 200 professionals, dignitaries, government officials, and ministers to tackle some of the most pressing challenges in workplace health and safety across Australia.
Delivering a Seamless Conference Experience
A national summit of this scale required a carefully coordinated approach across multiple rooms and program formats. Working in close partnership with the SafeWork Australia team, Kaigi Conferencing & Events team and the Hyatt Canberra in-house AV crew, Eventspec provided an end-to-end production solution designed to support dialogue, collaboration and impact.
Our delivery included:
- Plenary production with large LED wall, staging, and show calling
- Audio solutions with PA systems, lapel and handheld microphones, and roving mics for interactive Q&A
- Lighting design including uplighting and stage wash to enhance the look and feel of each session
- Concurrent breakouts with four workshop rooms running alongside the plenary
- Technical direction and show management to ensure smooth transitions and precise timing across the two-day program
Collaboration at the Core
Partnership was key to the success of this event. Our technical crew worked hand in hand with the SafeWork Australia organisers, Kaigi’s event management team, and the Hyatt Canberra AV staff. Together, we created an environment that was both professional and engaging, ensuring the focus remained on the important conversations taking place.
With minute-to-minute precision in planning, our combined teams delivered a program that allowed speakers and participants to focus entirely on the content, knowing every technical element was being handled behind the scenes.
A Summit of Significance
The inaugural SafeWork Australia Research Summit was more than just a conference. It was a gathering of leaders and practitioners committed to shaping safer workplaces for the future. From keynote addresses and ministerial contributions to interactive workshops, the program provided a platform for collaboration, policy discussion, and knowledge-sharing at the highest level.
Eventspec is proud to have played a role in supporting this landmark event, ensuring that every voice could be heard, every presentation could be seen, and every discussion flowed seamlessly.
